I first discovered my love of pottery during my second semester at Wells College in 2011. The first time I sat behind the wheel, I threw a small bowl and was completely hooked. Over the next 3 years, I'd spend almost every evening in the ceramic studio throwing clay to my heart's content. In 2014, I graduated Wells College with a degree in Psychology and double minors in Art and Sociology.
The summer after graduation, I decided to become the sole proprietor of Rebecca Wind Pottery so that I could sell the pottery I made at a local craft show. To my surprise, the profits I made at the craft show were enough to purchase my beloved potter's wheel and a used kiln. Thanks to my generous and supportive parents, I now have a home studio in my basement and garage in Syracuse, New York.
In 2016, I was invited to join the Independent Potter's Association (IPA) of Central New York. We are a group of artist/ potters who support, educate, mentor, and promote ceramic excellence in our community.
